This gives you a confidential environment to engage with other HR leaders and discuss key strategic issues which may be affecting your organisation. In this session, there will be a legal update from Helen Kidd, Employment Partner, and an interactive session led by our guest speaker, Glenn Mead.Â
Throughout the session Glenn will look at why your first reaction will always be subconscious, and how recent evidence suggests that your brain may have already predicted and set in motion your reaction long before you become consciously aware of it (if indeed you ever do!).
You’ll also find out more about how normal ‘fight flight freeze’ reactions can develop into dysfunctional behaviours that can cause employees, and leaders in particular, to derail, and how to use language to reduce the risk of that happening.

Sarah is a Partner in the serious injury team at Irwin Mitchell. Sarah specialises in complex cases involving life changing injuries and has a particular expertise in neurotrauma; bringing claims for both adults and children who have suffered a brain injury.

Sarah is also a committee member for the Acquired Brain Injury Forum for London (ABIL) and is keen to raise awareness of acquired brain injury across London and the UK.
Sarah is passionate about rehabilitation and has extensive experience of securing early interim payments so that she can put rehabilitation in place for her clients to ensure that their rehabilitation can start as soon as possible.
