Join us for a panel discussion touching on the key issues surrounding family law and Sikhism, followed by Diwali celebrations.
We'll be discussing key areas of family law and faith, in particular within the Sikh community. We'll be joined on the evening by guest speakers who will explore:
- Key factors in co-parenting
- The impact that families separating can have on children
- Financial considerations
- Domestic abuse issues and more.
We would also like to take this opportunity to come together and celebrate the joyous festival of Diwali.
Diwali is a significant religious festival in Sikhism, Hinduism and Jainism and is commonly referred to as the “Festival of Lights”. For Sikhs, Diwali is a story of the struggle for freedom and the celebration of the return of their sixth Guru being released from wrongful imprisonment. Whilst different religions have different reasons for celebrating Diwali, they each share the concept of spirituality, new beginnings, peace and harmony.
Our panel discussion will begin at 4.30pm followed by traditional Diwali snacks, entertainment and celebrations.
