As we emerge from stricter lockdown measures and start to return to a new norm, there are a number of employment law issues for HR professionals to consider.Â
In our national virtual conference, you’ll get valuable insight on the key topics you need to think about now, including:
  • HR in an agile world and hybrid working
  • Diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
You’ll hear from our employment law specialists, as well as HR and business leaders, who’ll share their own insight and practical examples.
In the afternoon, you have a choice of sessions depending on which is most relevant to you, including:
  • Legal developments on workforce status and IR35
  • Menopause in the workplace
  • Recruitment in the new working world
  • Neurodiversity in the workplace.
Reserve your place now to find out more and select which sessions you’d like to attend.
You’ll also have the opportunity to submit questions in advance when you register, and you ask questions during the conference too.
As we look beyond the stricter lockdown measures and start to look towards a return to a new norm, many businesses are looking to embrace longer term flexible and agile working. Our legal experts will start the day by discussing what this means in practice and highlighting the legal issues you need to think about.
In this session, we’ll explore the legal basis for promoting and supporting diversity in the workplace and give practical insight on strategies to embed a culture which is inclusive and why this is important.
We'll be joined by Sheri Hughes, UK Diversity and Inclusion Director, PageGroup who will share an insight into their strategy and outcomes. Â
Women now represent nearly a half of the UK labour force. Menopause is a normal life event for women. Coping with menopausal symptoms at work can be difficult for many women - it can have a significant impact on (for example) attendance and performance in the workplace. It’s not fully recognised or understood by women or employers and there remains a reluctance to talk about it.
So in this session, we will open up the subject. We’ll explore the legal aspects to this and will be joined by menopause specialist Dr Rebecca Lewis, from Newton Health clinic for further practical guidance.
Many businesses are having to think differently about the way you recruit and attract candidates with the right skills, experience and talent to your business. With this, there are opportunities and challenges.
In this session, we’ll share legal insight into these issues and will be joined by Graham Lucas, Managing Director at Michael Page.
An inclusive workforce means enabling everyone to thrive and this includes neurodiverse employees. In this session our legal experts will be joined by Suzanne Eusman, Head of Specialist Employment Services at Autism Plus.
Together, we'll look at:Â
  • What is neurodiversity
  • How neurodiversity affects individuals in the workplace – the legal implications and practical aspects
  • The impact of COVID on Neurodiverse employees
  • Support strategies and mitigating risk.
